Dimitri Arvanitis’ origin is Greek, but he was born in Germany, studied in Antwerp and is based in London as a designer. At the age of 19 Dimitris moved to Antwerp where he graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. His work has been published in some of the best magazines out there, from CR Fashion Book to 032c…

When talking to 032c about his work and how important wearability is for young designers, Dimitri explained: “I hate the word wearable. If you wear something you can move in, it’s wearable. But it’s becoming more and more important for me to see my designs on people. I research garments which I personally like to wear.

Denim, pure cotton and leather are materials people can identify with. I love working with extreme elements of design, but I still want to reach out to make the clothes accessible.” Anyways, Dimitri is one of those designers who can combine different styles finely, make garments very well designed, not boring and still presentable and wearable at all times.

He has that extra something that intrigues you, something memorable yet something so simple. We think he is the one to watch.

Please explain yourself…..
